Peace Road #Uruguay
On Sunday, August 28, the young people of YSP Uruguay carried out Peace Road: Uruguay in Montevideo, to advocate their yearly tour promoting world peace nationwide.
The event commenced with a welcoming presentation and explanation on the purpose of doing a peace walk; where they shared inspiring quotes.
All participants received a Peace Road t-shirt and flags for the walk.
The walk, across six kilometres, started from the National Garden and reached the Legislative Palace, one of the most representative monuments in Uruguay. Sharing time with the tourists who were visiting the place, and after taking a photo, they returned to the National Garden, where there was an internal moment to sing the song, “All in unity.”
The program concluded by expressing gratitude to all the guests for participating and a shared meal to replenish energy after the impressive walk. Everyone showed gratefulness and joy for participating, and new bonds of friendship were created.
