Official Launch of YSP #Burkina Faso
YSP Burkina Faso, in partnership with the Mayor of Tenkodogo and El Hadj Daouda Diao, a Peace Ambassador; launched its activities at the Town Hall of Tenkodogo. This ceremony gathered seventy people, including sixty youth and students. The theme of the event was, “Building a Culture of Sustainable Peace” and the program structured in three stages: the official launch, character education lecture on filial piety, and donation event.
The ceremony began with singing the national anthem of Burkina Faso. After the presentation of the program by the Master of Ceremonies, the Mayor‘s Representative, Mr. Amadou Dicko, gave the introductory speech. Dicko encouraged the notion of spreading the vision of YSP and emboldened the youth as being the pillars of development. Following Mr. Amadou Dicko’s speech, the President of YSP Burkina Faso, Mr. Bokkun Nonguierma, bestowed the inaugural speech. This was followed by a congratulatory message by Mr. Issouf Diao, who represented the co-sponsors of the event. This first session was concluded by signing the resolution, which marked the official launch of YSP Burkina Faso.
The second session commenced with a character education lecture led by Mr. Bakari Traore, the FFWPU Representative in the East-Central Region of Burkina Faso. The lecture was focused on the filial love, and more precisely what it means to be a good person.
The third session was dedicated to donating clothing and shoes to an Association of Needy Children. The ceremony was concluded with taking a group photo.
