‘Little by Little,’ A Peace Designer Project (Korea)
The Peace Designer Project, ‘Little by Little’, was a daily voluntary service program centered on environmental activity and connected to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations. This campaign, which is centered on SDGs and environmental problems in the neighborhood, was held on February 14, 2020 on both Bukhansan and Sokcho Mountains. Around 300 participants from various countries learned about the SDGs and then tried to put them into practice, Little by Little.
Prior to the service activity, participants were taught the background and meaning of the United Nations 17 SDGs. They had some time to think about how to apply them in their real life. While interacting with the environment, participants had many experiences that helped them understand the seriousness of environmental concerns and the need for the United Nations to focus its attention in this area.
