Leadership Training through the Internship Program #Uganda

IAYSP Uganda is running an Internship Project that commenced on September 20 and will conclude on October 30, 2021. This internship program was established as a means to actualizing and promote its education program on: peace, conflict prevention, management, resolution and conflict transformation, character education and development, and leadership training among youth.

The project aims to equip university students – especially those from the College of Humanities and Social Sciences – with additional skills in social life, character development, conflict prevention, resolution, management and transformation, and leadership. In this way, youth can more effectively create and maintain peaceful communities. This project aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 4, 5, 16, and 17.

Eight participants from three different public universities have registered so far. However, due to Covid-19 Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.P), IAYSP is accepting seven additional participants who will commence during the first week of October. Resultantly, the number will increase to fifteen participants. These participants come from public and private universities, such as Makerere, Kyambogo, MUBS, Kampala International University, and Nkumba.
