Inauguration of YSP (Youth and Students for Peace) in Albania

2019, May 13th – Tirana, Albania

YSP-Albania was launched on Monday, May 13th 2019, at the main hall of the European University of Tirana, one of the main universities in Albania. Youth and Student for Peace (YSP) is a global family of young people committed to advancing world peace by empowering youth and students to become global citizens through character education and peace projects that support the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Therefore we are very inspired to start on this new journey with the young people here in our country of Albania.
120 youngsters filled up the hall. Top-students, project managers, NGO directors, Ambassadors for Peace and members of CARP Albania gathered together to launch this new providential organization.
The program of the event was beautifully composed of artistic performances, congratulatory remarks, an inspiring key note address and a Youth Ambassador for Peace appointment ceremony.
Professor Odeta Cacaj of the hosting university gave an inspirational speech in which she appreciated the vision of YSP and expressed her desire to continue this cooperation in the future.
Chairman of UPF Albania, Mr Gaqo Apostoli, greeted the participants with empowering words and with a beautiful song.
The key note address was given by the Director of YSP Europe, Mrs Jeong-hye Yeom. Enthusiastically, she shared the vision and goals of YSP. The participants were touched by her motherly heart.
In the end, we had the pleasure to appoint the first 12 Youth Ambassadors for Peace. The certificates were given out by the Albanian National Leader, Rev. Gani Rroshi and Mrs Yeom.
This was just the beginning! A new and inspiring journey awaits us! We will do our best to create the right environment for young talented people in Albania in the best possible way in October 2019.
