Clean Up Peace Designer Project (New Zealand)
The project was a joint effort between YSP and Conservation Volunteers NZ. There were around 30 participants in total, including three from YSP.
The participants learned about the importance of cleaning up microplastics due to their impacts on the local wildlife and ecosystem. The participants also cleaned up larger pieces of plastic due to their potential to break down into microplastics over time. Overall there was positive feedback about the clean-up, and some volunteers expressed that it was a good learning experience for them.
