Character Education Seminar, Bangui District, Central African Republic

On August 24, 2019, IAYSP Central African Republic carried out a 2-hour character education seminar in the 6th Arrondissement of Bangui district. Forty young people, including two youth leaders and three university students from Bangui University, took part in the seminar.

The seminar was carried out under the theme, “The Role of Young People and Students in Creating a Sustainable Culture of Peace,” with the sub-theme of ‘Filial Love.’

After a presentation about the history of YSP by the chapter’s secretary general, Mr. Maïté Mamabo Zita, the keynote speaker, Mr. Gere-Kombwanga Jean-Paul gave with his presentation on filial love. This was followed by a question-answer session. The participants’ impressions were very positive. All participants suggested that the seminar be carried out at least once a month in order to empower them to become responsible people who can promote peace in their nation. The seminar concluded with a dance presentations from the youth.
