Youth Peace Camp #Philippines

On December 27 – 29, 2019, the Youth and Students for Peace Bicol Chapter carried out a three-day Youth Peace Camp at Viento De Mar, Sogod, Bacacay, Albay with the theme, “Creating and Enhancing Global Youth Leaders.” There were a total of sixty-five students who participated from both Senior High Schools and Colleges around the Bicol Region – Daraga, Camarines Sur, Sorsogon, and Legazpi City.

The objectives of the peace camp is to educate the youth to be global citizens, empower them through teaching YSP Values – Responsibility, Integrity, Service and Empathy (RISE); impart training on developing peace project proposals through Peace Designer’s Training, and strengthening self- discipline and physical fitness as a way to support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
