The Launching of IAYSP Gabon
On September 29, 2018, the launch of the International Association of Youth and Students for Peace (IAYSP) in Gabon took place at the UN Headquarters, in the meeting room of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) office. This ceremony was attended by around fifty people, including journalists, Peace Ambassadors, families and guests.
The ceremony began with an interpretation of the national anthem by IAYSP members and a presentation delivered by the MC. This was respectively followed by speeches from the Secretary General of the Universal Peace Federation, Excellence Iwangou Gislain; President of the FFPMU, Mr. Ambiana Joseph; and President of the SWOT, Mrs. Dakouo laeticia. Following these speeches, the appointment of the President of IAYSP transpired.
On the same occasion, five new Peace Ambassadors were nominated; including Dr. Biyogué Delors who is a national representative of the United Nations. After the songs performed by IAYSP youth, the ceremony concluded with the signing of the YSP banner by all participants, a commemorative photo and refreshments.
