Sunrise Trail Litter Cleaning in las Vegas #USA

On January 8, 2022, Shine City Project volunteered at Sunrise Trailhead. Working with both Clark County Wetlands Park and Get Outdoors Nevada staff, the volunteers helped to collect litter in the area.

There were eight volunteers representing Shine City Project. The area along the road that leads to the trail was heavily littered with glass bottles, food packaging, and other items. In one particular area, the ground was covered in a sea of broken glass; and in another, was a large pile of wire casings.
After all, the volunteers’ hard work resulted in two large dustbins being filled. Volunteers worked tirelessly and with a lot of effort to help cleanup the area, and hopefully, more can be done to restore the beauty of the trailhead in the future.
