Social Action – Favelinda IAYSP Brazil

On September 2, the Favelinda project and Itaoca Association carried out a social action in Jardim Itaoca, south of São Paulo. The activities included awareness-raising talks for parents by the Lar que Lê (Home that Reads) Project, face-painting for children, wall-painting to raise awareness among residents, the donation of food baskets to families. As well as donating food to the families, the talks served as a way of raising awareness to parents of the early childhood education strategies that they could be applying for their children—fundamental to children’s development, and at the end we shared lunch with all the volunteers.
