Snow Shoveling Volunteering #Japan

IAYSP Japan Fukui Chapter organized a snow shoveling volunteering project on January 12.

On January 10, Fukui Prefecture experienced record heavy snowfall. Residents were in a predicament since they could not leave their houses due to the large amounts of snowfall. In response, thirteen youth visited some elders’ houses and helped to remove snow to protect them and their houses.
The elderly were very appreciative of the youth and the youth felt happy to offer their support.
