Peace Heroes Talks – Mahatma Gandhi #Austria

On June 30, 2022, IAYSP Austria organized the sixth online event of the monthly series, “Peace Heroes.” This event focused on the inspiring life and achievements of Mahatma Gandhi.

One point highlighted in the presentation, given by Julia Wang, was Gandhi’s non-violent attitude and his remarkable ability to mobilize crowds peacefully.

Some of his famous quotes are:
“Be the change that you wish to see in the world.”
“An ounce of patience is worth more than a tonne of preaching.”
“Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.”
“The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.”

Around 20 people joined the event. After the presentation, participants could share their thoughts about Mahatma Gandhi’s life and what they could learn from him. This was the final event of the monthly series before the summer break.
