Peace Designer Seminar #Fiji

IAYSP Fiji hosted a three-hour seminar where twenty students of the University of the South Pacific (USP) and Fiji National University (FNU) participated. The seminar was held on July 11, 2020, at the Peace Embassy in Suva.
It was an introductory level of the Peace Designer program for youth and emphasized the need for moral education among young people. This seminar was held to inform youth about the core values of IAYSP – Responsibility, Integrity, Service, and Empathy (RISE) – and empower them to design a peace project to implement within their community and lead positive change.

Mr. Santosh Neupane, UPF Fiji President, delivered the lecture, “The Needs of Moral Education”, together with peace designer introductions. Following, Mr. Shaad Kaashif, IAYSP Fiji President, gave a lecture about, “Gearing the Youths for Global Action”, where he talked about youth empowerment and capacity building.

During July, IAYSP Fiji hosted five more introductory seminars in total centered on Peace Designer programs to youth and students.
