Me and My Peers #Moldova
On June 27, 2022, IAYSP Moldova organized education focused on social interactions titled, “Me and My Peers,” at the Center for Rehabilitation and Social Integration in Anenii Noi.
Children and adolescents learned about four ways of treating others and discussed them. The four ways they learned about were:
- The law of the jungle – code that dictates survival by any means possible and is presumed to be in effect among animals in their natural state or people unrestrained by any established law or civilized personal or civic control; Reference
- The tooth for tooth treatment.
- The golden rule – is a moral principle denoting that you should treat others in the way you want to be treated yourself. This means, if you want people to treat you with respect, you should treat them with respect too; Read More.
- And the platinum rule – a variation of The Golden Rule that calls for a more thoughtful approach when dealing with others. It asks that you, “Do unto others as they would want to be done to them.” Basically, in simple terms, following The Platinum Rule means making sure you know how the people around you want to be treated; Read more.
The participants also enjoyed recreational activities together through games, which helped them become acquainted with each other better.
