International Youth Day: Football Championship #Peru

On August 17, a sports event was held in the “Arturo Rivadeneira” Municipal Stadium in the district of Pacora, Lambayeque Province.  Both children and young people participated. “Children’s Day” is celebrated in Peru on the third Sunday of August and youth participated to celebrate “International Youth Day” promoted by the United Nations.

School representatives in the municipal area, police and an association of residents were involved in football games. Mr. De Los Milagros, of the Municipal School, won the championship and received a trophy in recognition for his efforts.
