Developing Environmental Education Content for Future Generations -IAYSP Korea

On June 5th, 2024, YSP Korea held a Climate Change and Environment Workshop for developing environmental education content for future generations. Ninety-five youth attended the workshop at Sun Moon University in Asan, Korea. The workshop started with a presentation on the history of the environment delivered by Kim Hyun-tae, CEO of ECO; followed by a presentation on the environmental movement, three lectures on climate change, three lectures on the environment, and a question and answer session. The contents of the lecture included themes such as: the importance of knowing about climate change, the causes of climate change, how we should respond to it, ocean pollution and desertification.

The lectures helped to learn about the environmental crisis and made participants more aware of the serious reality. It showed to participants that small actions taken by each individual can bring big improvements to the environment.

Having listened the different parts of the presentation, the attendees built their capacity to conduct environmental education in their surroundings.
