Community Initiative: Park Beautification- IAYSP Philippines 

IAYSP Philippines collaborated with Sun Moon and Barangay 450 for a community initiative to paint a park and basketball court at Barangay 450 in Manila, Philippines. This aimed to revitalize the public spaces, promote community engagement, and encourage residents to utilize recreational areas.

 The local government provided logistical support by ensuring the availability of water and refreshments for the participants.

 Participants were divided into teams to tackle different areas of the park and basketball court. The initial task involved cleaning the surfaces, removing debris, and ensuring the areas were ready for painting. This collaborative effort underscored the community’s dedication to maintaining their public spaces.

 Volunteers painted the park’s benches, playground equipment, and fencing in vibrant colors. The bright hues were chosen to create a cheerful and inviting atmosphere. Artistic members of the group added murals to the park walls, which helped in depicting scenes of nature and community life, enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the area.
