Clean-Up Peace Designer Project #New Zealand
A Clean-Up Peace Designer Project was a joint effort between YSP and Conservation Volunteers New Zealand. There were around thirty participants in total, including three from YSP.
The participants learned about the importance of cleaning up microplastics due to their impacts on the local wildlife and ecosystem. Participants also cleaned up larger pieces of plastic due to the potential of breaking down into microplastics over time. Overall, there was positive feedback about the clean-up, and some volunteers expressed that it was a good learning experience.
