Character Education – SK Labo Aloran #Philippines

On May, 2021, IAYSP Philippines Misamis Occidental, together with the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation of Aloran – forefronted by Hon. Ace John T. Mutia – organized Character Education with the theme, “The Role of Patriotic Youth in Nation Building” at Barangay Labo, Aloran, Misamis Occidental. The program was attended by fifty youth participants and Sangguniang Kabataan Barangay Officials. Mr. Irl Sayson was the main lecturer.

They launched this activity to: (1) promote awareness and knowledge of True Love education as a means to decrease the rate of teenage pregnancy and HIV-AIDS; (2) educate and inspire supporters who are willing to advocate and inspire Pure Love in their respective groups, schools, organizations, professional institutions and communities; (3) address SDGs 3, 4 and 16; (4) provide solutions for the government in alleviating immorality, publicizing sex in the context of marriage in building healthier societies by decreasing the rate of school dropouts due to teenage pregnancy, and enforcing healthier lifestyle choices by promoting the benefits of a Pure Lifestyle; (5) form a petition for the creation of a curriculum teaching the importance of abstinence before marriage and fidelity after marriage in high schools and colleges all over the Philippines.
