Character Education as an Assignment at School #Cameroon

IAYSP Cameroon signed a memorandum of understanding with YWCA High School in January 2020, to teach character education in different classes during their free period sessions.

The teaching team visits the school, located in Yaounde, each Monday and Friday. They teach during class hours as though it was a subject structured as part of their course. The YSP participants of this activity anticipate having more activities at YWCA.

“The only way for society to progress is to develop our hearts. Its better to have a big heart but a small head than to have a small heart but a big head.” 

“The teaching staff also witnessed how the children are becoming more responsive. At the beginning of the year, a certain class was too noisy or full of notorious students, but now, their behaviour is more appropriate.”
