PD Energy Saving Campaign Held at Sunhwa Arts Middle School #IAYSP Korea

On May 28, 2025, IAYSP Korea, as part of its “Peace Designer” initiative, visited Sunhwa Arts Middle School to carry out a meaningful energy-saving campaign on campus. The event was held in celebration of World Environment Day and aimed to raise awareness about environmental protection and carbon neutrality among students.

The campaign featured three interactive booths each designed to engage students and promote practical energy-saving habits:

-Environment Quiz Booth: Students tested their environmental knowledge through a fun quiz consisting of five questions focused on basic facts and issues related to energy conservation. It was an informative and interactive way to learn more about how everyday actions affect our planet.

-“7 Energy-Saving Rules” Booth: At this booth, students were introduced to seven simple energy-saving habits that can be easily practiced in daily school life. These habits contribute not only to reducing energy consumption, but also to achieving carbon neutrality. Remarkably, practicing these habits could have the same effect as protecting 500 trees.

-Environmental Protection Game Booth: This hands-on activity encouraged students to work together to “remove” harmful environmental substances through a game using selected eco-friendly items. It was a fun and collaborative way to learn about the causes of climate change and the importance of personal action.

IAYSP Korea hopes that such experiences will lead to lasting habits and a deeper commitment to carbon neutrality in everyday life.
