2024 Summer Peace Designers global action #IAYSP Korea

From June to August 2024, PD GLOBAL ACTION SUMMER Camp, hosted by YSP Korea, was held in Japan (3-4 days), Philippines (8 days), Cambodia (8 days), Mongolia (7 days), and China (4 days). A total of 220 Peace Designers participated.

In Japan, activities to promote peace between Korea and Japan and pray for peace on the Korean peninsula through exchanges between Korean and Japanese youth. In the Philippines, youths participated in cultural exchanges, donations to elementary schools, ocean flogging, planting mangrove trees, and repairing community centers. In Cambodia, IAYSP volunteered at a local elementary school. In Mongolia, IAYSP organized environmental activities and nature experiences, and in China, youths climbed Mount Baekdu to pray for the Unification of the Korean Peninsula.

Through Global Action, participants reflected and became more aware of the environmental and social problems facing the world and had the opportunity to think about what they can to do to contribute for the solution of the problems.
