Youth Peace Conference- IAYSP Philippines 

The International Association of Youth and Students for Peace Philippines—together with the Government of Isabela City Basilan—hosted a Youth Peace Conference with the theme, “Youth Forum for Nation Building,” on October 25, 2024 at Capitol Building, Isabela City, Basilan. The conference gathered a total of 65 representatives of the SK Officials from 40 barangays in Isabela City.

The event emphasized the significance of youth leaders in shaping the future and creating positive change within the community.

Furthermore, the young leaders were also able to experience the Peace Designer’s Training, one of the brand programs of IAYSP. Five groups presented their projects, with each group focusing on a specific community issue such as: combating climate change, promoting effective waste management, preventing drug use and supporting rehabilitation, and spreading the importance of mental health.

Many of the participants expressed gratitude for the event, feeling inspired and motivated to make a greater impact in their communities.
