Billion Trees Project #Philippines

On March 10, 2021, the International Association of Youth and Students for Peace Albay Chapter started the “Billion Trees Project” in collaboration with the 904th Coast Guard Auxilliary Squadron and the Coast Guard Auxilliary District Bicol; managed by Captain Maria Delilah S. Valeza, and LGU Castilla.

We planted four hundred male mangrove saplings at Nasipit River, Castilla, Sorsogon. On the same day, IAYSP and supporting organisations also conducted further mangrove planting at Rompeolas, Sorsogon City, Sorsogon, and planted four hundred male mangrove saplings. Everyone’s efforts resulted in a total of eight hundred male mangrove saplings being planted for the day.
