2025 Second Peace Designers Campus Held at Sangpum Elementary School #IAYSP Korea
The second Peace Designers (PD) Campus of 2025 was held at Sangpum Elementary School on June 5th in celebration of World Environment Day. It was the first time the program visited Sangpum Elementary, and the team was excited to meet the students and share environmental activities.
The program featured three main booths, all prepared by the PD team and organizers to engage students with environmental education in diverse ways.
At the Environmental Education Booth, students watched a specially designed video introducing YSP and its activities, while learning about climate change, environmental protection, and the impact of human activities on ecosystems. The session encouraged them to think critically about how humans affect the environment and introduced practical ways to live sustainably, including the use of eco-friendly products.
The Environmental Quiz Booth offered an interactive way for students to test and expand their knowledge about environmental issues. Working in teams, they answered questions designed to make learning both fun and memorable, while deepening their understanding of ecological challenges.
The Activity Exhibitions and Campaign Boards showcased examples of environmental campaigns, such as the “7 Habits to Protect the Earth” and energy-saving practices in schools. Students could also see exhibits highlighting the work of Peace Designers from across the country, as well as hands-on activities like making keychains from recycled plastic bottle caps. These experiences allowed students to engage with environmental concepts in a tangible and creative way.
Through these activities, students were inspired to take small but meaningful actions in their daily lives, cultivating a sense of responsibility for protecting the environment. The PD Campus program will continue visiting schools across the region, promoting environmental awareness and sustainable practices.
