Bottle Cap Classification Day #IAYSP Uruguay

On August 27, IAYSP Uruguay once again participated in a monthly bottle cap sorting event organized by NGO “Tapitas Oportunidades.” Tapitas Oportunidades is a non-profit organization dedicated to collaborating with animal refugees through the recycling of plastic caps.
Plastic caps are collected through a network of reception centers and volunteers sort them by color and sell these to recyclers. The recycled caps are converted into new products for prolonged use, including: canopies, containers, clothes, pallets, etc. From the recycled cap earnings, they buy essentials for the refugees—food, medication, construction materials, etc.
