Peace Heroes Series – Helen Keller #Austria

On January 27, IAYSP Austria launched their first online Zoom event of a monthly series titled, “Peace Heroes.” Each event features a different figure to exemplify YSP’s values and goals for peace.

This month, Helen Keller was chosen – an American author, disability rights advocate, political activist, and lecturer.

The event started with a presentation on the inspiring life and achievements of Keller, followed by participants sharing their thoughts and reflections in small groups. The discussion revolved around what they had learned and how to apply aspects from the exceptional story of Keller to their own lives.

The event was launched successfully that we hope will lead to an exciting and meaningful series for many participants.
