Participation in 3rd Regional Festival “Volunteering in the Sociocultural Sphere” (Russia)
YSP activists have earned praise paper from the participants and organizers of the III Regional Festival called Volunteering in the Socio-Cultural Sphere, which took place on February 12 in Pervouralsk, Russia!.
The purpose of the Festival was to unite representatives of municipalities, cultural institutions, volunteer organizations in the socio-cultural sphere; exchange experience on the creation of volunteer centers and associations.
After the opening at the Forum Center, each participant could join one of 6 sections:
- “Culture oriented volunteering”
- “Preservation of cultural heritage”
- “Educational program”
- “International volunteering”
- “Inclusion” and “Media”
In the international section, Olga Solovyova (YSP Ural) presented the goals and main ideas of YSP and the Peace Designer training.
A volunteer center coordinator of one of the public schools shared after:
“The work of the speakers was excellent. We got acquainted with new volunteer programs; learned what needs to be done to get a volunteer for the Universiade-2023. Since our activists are graduates, they were interested in getting to know more about Youth and Students for Peace.”
At the end of the international section program, there was a small dream game (part of Peace Designer training), in which YSP girls shared their experience in the project of our school:
“We are a particle of a generous soul.
“Describing the whole day in three words was professional, interesting, and very informative.”
