World War II veterans & childes of war period – acknowledgment action (Russia)

Traditionally, the May 9th for prior Soviet Union nations is deeply connected to the end of World War II and known as the Victory Day.

Beforehand, YSP Moscow volunteers contacted the Vo Imya Mira / In the name of PEACE Charity Foundation. Then, the Dobropochta project got the addresses and organized the signing and sending of postcards to 50 veterans and children from the World War II period.

The volunteers sign postcards themselves and also raised the topic of paying respect for the older generation and their contribution to our peaceful future in a lesson with teenagers 13-14 years old, who then also chose a person in the “Dobropochta” project’s database to express their gratitude with a postcard.
