S!NERGY x Bhutan (Gender Equality)
IAYSP Bhutan organized a program titled: Gender Equality, S!NERGY program through Zoom Webinar, Internet Talk (Using -Social Media) on Oct 24th, 2020. The Chief Guest of the program was Mr. Trashi Wangchuk, principal of the College. We had a special guest of honor, Hon. Pema Drukpa, former Member of Parliament as a Judge. Special guest and Judge Mr. Santosh Kumar Paudel South Asia UPF Director, Mr. Binod Dangi National Leader of FFWPU Bhutan, and Mr. Ronme Soddusta, Secretary-General of IAYSP Asia Pacific. The program was conducted by Advocate Ms. Tashi Pelden IAYSP Bhutan President.
We have 5 synergy speakers. 1. Dr. Bhakta Bahadur Gurung 2. Ms. Kezang Choki 3. Mr. Sonam Tobay 4. Mr. Namgay Nidup, and 5. Ms. Kash Chhetry Dangi.
Dr. Bhakta Bahadur Gurung said Gender Equality is under the UN SDG, and we absolutely support it utilizing it from home and with the desire to practice it from home. “Let us encourage all women to move forward,” he emphasized.
Ms. Kezang Choki said women are a pillar of home and society, and therefore we need to empower all women. “Without women, our home, society, and the world are not complete.”
Mr. Sonam Tobay said we need to respect women for gender equality.
Mr. Namgay Nidup said our country has a good culture of honoring women by giving them the right to health, property, and education.
Ms. Kash Chhetry Dangi said
“We need to get all kinds of rights in family and government opportunities so that we, women, can be equal in all aspects of life.”
Mr. Ronnie Soddusta, Secretary-General of IAYSP Asia Pacific, introduced his presentation on youth responsibility and YSP Synergy.
The special guest and the Judge, Mr. Santosh Kumar Paudel, South Asia UPF Director, said “we all youth have taken joint responsibilities for a better society and nations.” He encouraged all participants with his words.
