IAYSP Attends 2019 Youth Assembly #USA

The Youth Assembly is hosted by an organization called the Friendship Ambassadors Foundation, which works closely with the United Nations. Twice a year they host this assembly where youth and young adults from around the world attend and make connections with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and strategies in which youth can support the development of the goal. During the assembly, breakout sessions and panels on different global topics are discussed and young people have the opportunity to learn, collaborate and find solutions to issues they may be striving to address in their own country.

Four members of YSP from New Jersey, Los Angeles, and Canada participated to network, learnt about the issues people in the world are attempting to resolve, and ways YSP can contribute and partner with such an event that connects to youth internationally. Four hundred to five hundred young people from around the world participated with many being between the ages of sixteen to twenty-four years old.
